The Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia Chapters of BDPA will co-host their annual HSCC Seasonal Kick-Off and an Industry Day featuring a Recruiters' Roundtable for Senior IT Professionals.
What every senior technology professional should know about new career opportunities (National Capital Region), industry certifications, obtaining security clearances for Federal IT work, and leveraging online social networking applications will be discussed by industry panelists in an informal setting.
This event is free and open to the public at DC Courts Office from 10am through 12 noon, Saturday, February 27th, 2010 at 701 "7th" Street, NW., Washington, D.C., 20001 in Room 613. Attendees are asked to enter from our 7th Street entrance.

BDPA Regional Chapters
NBDPA's mission is to bridge cyber security, information technology (IT) and telecommunications competency gaps in urban and underserved communities. Local BDPA chapter goals in the National Capital Region (NCR) are to provide technical, vocational, and professional STEM outreach services and training programs for area professionals and students in any industry. BDPA Chapters also work with information communication and technology (ICT) industry partners to develop workforce pipelines in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Regional and local efforts in CS-STEM (Computer Science STEM) and STEM-IC (STEM Intelligence/Cyber) initiatives, directly support federal agency ICT staffing goals, and public sector ICT requirements.
